FURIA and Aristocracy have secured the final spots in the last-four stage of the Games Clash Masters after finishing in second place in their respective groups.
The Brazilian team, who had been sent to the lower bracket by home side Illuminar after letting a 13-8 lead slip, repeated their good performance from the opening clash against BIG as they beat the German side 2-0 to move on to the single-eliminaton bracket, with Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato currently sitting amongst the tournament's top performers with a 1.31 rating.
Paweł "dycha" Dycha was the hero as Aristocracy bounced back from their opening defeat to Sprout to finish second in the group following victories over CIS duo Syman and DreamEaters. The 22-year-old, who was the last player to join the team, is currently joint-top for rating (1.42) in Gdynia after running rampant in the series against the Russian side (1.81 rating, +32 KDD and 117 ADR).
The single-elimination playoffs will begin with an interesting clash between FURIA and the new Sprout line-up, with Denis "denis" Howell having seemingly rediscovered his best form since leaving BIG and returning to a rifler role. After that intercontinental series, things will really heat up as Illuminar and Aristocracy will face off in a Polish derby in front of a crowd at the Gdynia Arena.
