compLexity have joined Clan-Mystik in the ESWC knockout stages following a dramatic 16-14 victory over LGB eSports.

The Swedish side's journey in Paris had a bumpy start as the team fell short against Clan-Mystik in their opening match, leaving them in a must-win situation if they wanted to avoid an early elimination in the tournament.

The match started out at a frantic pace: after losing the pistol round, compLexity went for a buy, a strategy that bore fruits, but in the following round they were stunned by LGB's eco round.

After finding themselves down 1-3, coL finally managed to string a few rounds together to get back into the game, with Sean "sgares" Gares earning praise for his action in the eighth round, when he took down two players with the AWP inside the B bombsite before keeping the last LGB player from defusing the bomb with a Molotov.

coL went on to to make it 6-3 in their favour, but their momentum would be cut short right after by Mikail "eksem" Bill, who against all odds won a 1-on-3 situation with the bomb already planted. That round proved to be the turning point as LGB went into the break up 8-7.

In the second half compLexity's push in the pistol round caused some serious damage to LGB's players and ultimately won them the round, despite Olof "olofm"Kajbjer still picking up three kills.

One eco round was all that LGB needed, the Swedish side having decided to buy in the third round, a move that paid off as they regained control of proceedings. LGB would go on to make it 11-9, at which point certainly many people thought that coL had a mountain to climb, but the truth is that the North American side refused to throw in the towel.

The last rounds of the match were neck-and-neck, with coL picking up the victory in the very last round to assure themselves of a spot in the playoffs.
